Your Inquire to Booking process
Your experience matters, and that is what I am here for. From your first inquiry, I will be there to walk and guide you through planning your Smith Mountain Lake photography session. Once you inquire, I will send you a seamless pricing guide within 24 hours and we will begin planning your vision and what will be best for your family.
Intentional Planning
Your session will be built and planned based on your vision, and what is best for your family! After booking, you will receive a full location guide, styling guide, and the best times to shoot at specific locations. All of these little aspects leading to your session help build preparation, and helpful tips you may need for your family session.
During your session
During our session together, I will guide you every step of the way. I do not expect anyone to be models and kids behave perfectly! Let's lean into the chaos of rounding everyone up for portraits and just have fun during our session together. I will guide you through gentle posing prompts so you images feel effortless and natural.
Gallery Delivery day
After your session, you will receive a sneak peek within a few days and then a full online private gallery to enjoy with all of the best images! You will also have access to my professional printing lab to order small and large prints for your entire family to enjoy and always look back on.

Questions
How far out do we need to book?
A minimum 2 Month out! If you are planning your vacation here at Smith Mountain Lake reach out in the spring time to lock in your date!
Where are the best locations?
When you inquire and book your portraits, you will receive a location guide with the best locations and the best times to shoot during the day at these specific locations.
Do you offer payment plans?
Absolutely! A retainer is need and a signed contract to lock in your date and then your session can be paid in increments if that works best for you.
How many images will i recieve?
A Minimum of 30 Images with a sneak peek gallery within a few days. If you are vacationing, you may just receive them while still here at Smith Mountain Lake!
what if it rains on the day of our portraits
If you are vacationing, sessions are scheduled at the beginning of your vacation week so if we have to reschedule due to rain, we will have some buffer days to work with before your vacation is over.
can we take pictures on our boat?
Absolutely! We normally just stay/hang out in a calm cove somewhere right before sunset and take portraits and then we can also do additional portraits on your dock or back yard!
Can You come to our house?
Yes! If you have a family lake house or an AIR BNB we can use that special location and photograph your family portraits there as well.
